Fundraising Giveaway 2015

The Fort Boonesborough Foundation has launched a giveaway for 2015. The Rifle made by Wayne Estes has been paired with a Powder Horn with Hand Made Strap and a custom made bag. All items will go to one winner when the Giveaway concludes in November of 2015.

Built in the Reading School tradition. .45 cal, swamped octagon to round Douglas/Jenkins barrel, stocked in fine curly maple, featuring Goehring brass mounts, M&G Continental flintlock, & Davis trigger.

Rifle presentation 2015

Park Manager Rob Minerich holds the rifle while Foundation President George Chalfant holds the bag, powder horn and strap. Wayne Estes (right) presented the rifle he made to the Foundation during the 2014 Winter Trade Days. Items will be on display at the fort during the 2015 Season.

The original Fort Boonesborough was built by Daniel Boone and his men in 1775
