Each Saturday evening in February brings a new visitor to the Blockhouse at Fort Booneborough. This year’s schedule includes Daniel Boone, An evening of 18th century music with E.L. Kurtz, and historic figures from Kentucky history - Simon Kenton and Jenny Wiley. Tickets are available by calling the fort 859-527-3131. Enjoy a “Taste of Frontier Fare” before these Chautauqua style presentations before a large fireplace in the blockhouse. Tickets are $15 a person or $25 per couple and $5 for children under 12. 5:30 -6:15 A Taste of Frontier Fare and 6:45 Fireside Chat begins.

The original Fort Boonesborough was built by Daniel Boone and his men in 1775
